The Cookin' at McCooks Summer Concert Series was an idea of the late Dave Wyatt (aka Pops). He wanted to bring original music from around the country as well as right here in CT, to our beautiful town of Niantic. McCooks Park, overlooking Long Island Sound is the perfect location for such an event. He always enjoyed the beach and figured why not boogie there too. Dave’s daughter Tara in keeping with tradition is the new organizer of the of The Cookin’ at McCooks Summer Concert Series. The events are all non-profit. The money we bring in through sponsors and donations at the gates and at the table are what keep the event alive. The proceeds from the 2007 Series however went to the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation Marathon walkers. Bring your chairs or blankets and bugspray. 

There will be BBQ, popcorn, and refreshments available.
